Specifications

  • Acoplaster F is a sustainable acoustic plaster system with outstanding sound absorption and the most refined surface finish on the market. The system consists of two components: A non-combustible mineral wool panel and an acoustic plaster top layer. The acoustic plaster material is applied in a total thickness of 35 mm (3 mm panel adhesive, 30 mm mineral wool, 2 mm plaster layer).

  • The various layers are applied in several process steps. First, the panel material is glued over the entire surface of the plasterboard or directly onto the building fabric and attached. The butt seams are sealed with Acofiller. Then the plaster layer is applied. Once the plaster has dried, it is sanded down and any unevenness is corrected. Any damage that occurs at a later stage can be repaired easily and almost invisibly.

  • As the plaster consists of 80% cellulose, the weight after application is a light 7-8 kg/m².

  • Wherever acoustics play a decisive role. For example, in communal areas, public buildings, sports halls, restaurants, living rooms, offices, churches, etc. Acoplaster F can be used on almost any surface, even in swimming pools thanks to its hygroscopic properties.

  • Efectis, 1350-1:2018, B-s2.d0, corresponds to fire behavior group RF2 of the VKF fire protection directive in Switzerland

  • White and any other specified color by adding pigments to the binder.

  • Dust and cobwebs can be removed using a vacuum cleaner with a soft textile nozzle attachment. Another option is cleaning with dry ice. We are happy to offer a maintenance contract for both options on request.

  • Minor repairs or touch-ups can easily be carried out by hand.

  • The material can be sprayed over using an airless spraying technique. The application of paint with a paint roller is not recommended.

    • The substrate must be clean, dry and free of grease, holes and cracks must be sealed airtight, metal parts must be protected from water and corrosion

    • The surface quality of the substrate determines the evenness of the final result; unwanted unevenness must be sanded off in advance

    • Junction boxes and the like must be matched to the thickness of the insulation layer

    • Tailor-made solutions are available for spots in the form of sleeves or 3D-printed constructions

    • If there is no flush wall or frame end, an end profile must be installed on site

    • Assembly is carried out using mobile rolling scaffolding and/or scissor lifts

    • The temperature should be ≥15°C during and after processing

    • To speed up the drying process, we recommend the use of fans and construction dryers; a moisture meter is provided to monitor the process
